Once again, Spartan Pride has dominated on the field. On Saturday the boys played against Ravena and Field although we did not score in either game, we held both teams to ZERO!

Then on Sunday they played at Dix Stadium at Kent State University, oh what a day! The rain poured down in buckets, but that did not dampen the boys spirit. They went out and played their hearts out and won agianst Manchester 14 - 0!!!! YEAH!!! GO SPARTAN JV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They also played against Field, and once again held them to ZERO!! What a great group of players we have. I am so excited about this year.

I love the first picture in this slideshow, I was kinda worried about Billy playing with older kids, but his seems to fit right in and has made good friends with some of these boys.

WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Scrimmage game was great. Billy was awsome! Not only did he start on the offensive line, they had him on defense too! He was in on a couple of really great tackles! They won 35 to 0!!! Can't wait for a real official game. I think it is going to be a really good season.

Tomorrow is Billy's first scrimmage game against the Manchester Panthers. He's pretty proud of himself. He is playing with boys that have 2 more years experience on the field, yet he was still made starting left tackle on the offensive line. I thought I would share this picture of Billy going after the ball carrier, this kid came down hard. I know, I know,..... I'm just ONE-PROUD-FOOTBALL-FAN-OF-A-MOM!!!

I took this picture last year when I was playing around with a new camera. I really love this photo. I think it looks elegant and romantic. This is, of course, a side of Ron that is rarely seen. I thought I would record this rare moment in a scrapbook page. I know, I know there are flowers on the page, and they are around a picture of a manly man, but I just thought this picture needed an old fashioned elegant look. Sorry Hon. I did choose the moth elements because he once told me that as a kid he had a collection of moths and butterflies.

Here are some of the pages that I created in July. I really enjoy digital scrapbooking. I love the preserve our family memories. I will have a lot more to add. Everything that I create right now is done with purchased kits. My goal over the next few months, is to learn how to create some of my own papers and elements. If I accomplish this goal, I will be sure to share some of my creations with my digital scrapbooking friends.

My Pages for August 2007

Sunday, August 5, 2007

Hello,
This will be my first post. Today is August 5, 2007. I started this blog so that I can share scrapbook pages with friends and family. I have been scrapbooking digitally for only about a year, so I am new at this but I am learning more everyday.

As some of you know, my dad just past away in January. At first, I was so busy taking care of everything that needed taking care of that I did not have time to think about it much. But now that things have slowed down, I realize just how much I miss him. And I realize how very important our memories are. I wanted to start this so that I could record the little day to day things that are so precious, you know the things you don't ever want to forget. I am going to begin this blog with a layout that I did to remember the bond that my dad had with my son. Some of you have already seen this layout, and most of you know how close my dad and Billy were. It is so sad sometimes to see Billy without my dad, because they were always together, now it seems that part of him is missing. I know that my dad is always with Billy. He will always be with Billy because Billy has so much of him in his heart. He has been gone for 6 months now and I am just now finding myself grieving over him, realizing it is just the little day to day things that I miss the most. The phone calls in the afternoon after work, sitting with him at football and baseball practice, listening to him cheer for the kids at their games, have him to call on day or night when my computer was doing something stupid that I could not fix. He was always there, not just for Billy but for all of his family. He was loving, kind, generous and comforting. We all miss him so very much.
